London Fashion Week Debut
In the past four days, the fashion extravaganza featured collections by Burberry Prorsum, Vivienne Westwood and Jonathan Saunders among others. Yesterday, Mary Katrantzou, Roksanda Ilincic, Osman, Kinder Aggugini and Amanda Wakeley all launched new collections, which won wide approval.
Nigerian fashion brand, Tiffany Amber to the list as the brand showcased their “Sirens of the Nile” collection on Saturday 17th of September 2011 at the Charing Cross Hotel in London.
Star power was amplified at the fashion event with celebrities including Nigeria’s Genevieve Nnaji and the UK’s Keisha Buchanan in attendance.
The Tiffany Amber LFW show was sponsored by GTBank and supported by ArikAir.Tiffany Amber collections are incredibly opulent affairs. Never one to follow trends, the collection stayed very true to the brand’s aesthetic. Silks in its various forms, sumptuous velvets and rich coral and gunmetal embellishments, in shades of orange, hues of blue, gold and nude tones create an effect that is the true definition of “Fearless Luxury”; luxe beyond any luxury lover’s imagination.
In the designer’s bid to continue to push the boundaries for her prints, four images of beads taken from the archives of award winning photographer Vitor Politis were ethically produced for the collection.
According to the designer Folake Folarin-Coker, “This is my favourite collection so far. It embodies a multitude of women; classic yet youthful, sexy yet demure, vibrant yet sophisticated.”Tweet
